I was.looking for a mature tree that would give fall color. I love this beautiful, tall and thick branched tree. Already seeing new growth. And there is sap seeping from the trunk. So cool. When looking to plant a tree to commemorate the birth of our son, I had my heart set on a flowering cherry. After doing some research we thought the Autumn Cherry seemed the best bet for our area, however we were having a hard time finding it locally. After searching online I found what we were looking for at Wilson Bros. I have never ordered plants online, and was a bit nervous, but the reviews seemed positive and the customer support seemed like they would work with you if there was an issue, so we went ahead and purchased.
The tree came super quickly, well packaged and healthy looking! There were instructions available online as well as tips included in the packaging. It was a much larger tree than I expected for the price, which was a welcome surprise! Since we have planted it, it is already putting out new growth where it was pruned for shipping, and seems happy and healthy.

I was burned by another nursery’s “6-7 foot” autumn cherry that sent me a 1/2″ thick stick (at the base) with 2 branches (thinner than a pencil) that just barely met the 6 foot height (and I’m not even exaggerating). I reached out to Wilson Bros because I saw in another review that they would send you a picture of the tree you were ordering if you asked, so there would be no surprises when it arrived.
I asked for a picture of the tree I would get. It was perfect! It was less expensive than the other nursery’s tree, taller than the other nursery’s tree, the trunk was at least 1.5″ thick, and the canopy had a dozen or more small branches. It was a much older, better, tree for a better price.
I spoke with a kind lady over the phone to place my order after I saw the picture.
It was super easy! The tree arrived, packaged with care, a few days later. And just a few weeks later it’s in the ground and already blooming!! Another cherry on my property took about 2 to 3 years before it bloomed the first time, so this is just about as exciting as it gets for cherry trees!

I have purchased many plants from many sites, the tree I received from Wilson Bros was the best pruned item I bought. It was carefully and well packed and arrived promptly in great shape. This tree is a memorial for a young man who died far too early. If I could afford it I would get three more Thank you for treating your plants as I would treat them! LOVE MY TREE! Had some problems with Fedex delaying delivery so long during this pandemic. But Wilson Bros assured me they packed it well. And they did. No dirt lost. I received my tree in excellent condition. I had emailed Wilson Bros to ask for a picture of their trees and their associate Spencer Young sent me a picture of a tree which I ordered he went above and beyond helping me by personally picking out a tree for me and sending it. The tree I received was beautiful and healthy and is doing very well. This is not my first tree from Wilson and I am never disappointed.
